That number is real — you genuinely pay $79 in month one. But per Embody's own Terms of Service, semaglutide refills lock at approximately $299/month ongoing. That's a 278% increase from the promo price. If you're budgeting based on the ad, the month-2 bill is a shock.

SkinnyRx charges $199/month for semaglutide — injectable, sublingual, or tablet format. That rate stays $199 in month one, month two, and month twelve. Tirzepatide runs $299/month across formats. There's a $49/month membership fee if you want the brand-name medication pathway, but the compounded pricing has no hidden escalation.

The math: if you stay on treatment for 12 months, Embody costs approximately $79 + (11 × $299) = $3,368. SkinnyRx costs 12 × $199 = $2,388. SkinnyRx saves you nearly $1,000 over a year despite the higher month-1 price. The intro discount only wins if you plan to use Embody for one month and then switch.

Format and Medication Access

Embody is an injectable-only platform for GLP-1 medications. They offer semaglutide injections. They do sell a "GLP-1 gum" product, but per our editorial standards, we don't promote oral tirzepatide gum from Embody — our coverage is limited to their injectable semaglutide offering.

SkinnyRx offers three delivery formats for semaglutide: injectable, sublingual/buccal, and tablets. For tirzepatide, they offer both injectable and tablet formats. Semaglutide sublingual pricing runs approximately $199/month; tablets approximately $249/month. SkinnyRx has an FDA Warning Letter on file. Embody does not. This is a material difference that patients should consider.
